For our wires are going to look like when it's installed, it's going to be designed to live inside the vehicle and when we're ready to use it. You simply hang it out over top the rubber seal, make sure it's staying away from the connector point. Close your hatch, or close your trunk lid. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Subaru Legacy- Video
Today on our 2016 Subaru Legacy, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-1 Connector Assembly with Upgraded Circuit Protector Module Light. Part number 118671. The first thing that we're going to want to do in order to install our trailer wiring is to pop our trunk. If your vehicle is equipped with these cargo nets, you want to unhook them on either side and lay them out of your way. Now, we'll want to remove this trim panel piece that's above our bumper. To do that, start to unscrew the cargo net hooks. One on either side. more

Today on our 2015 Subaru Legacy we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4 pole flat trailer connector. Part number is C56246. Here's what our wiring kit is going to look like when we pull it out of our box. Here's what we're after, that 4 pole trailer connector. That's going to give us stop, turn, brake signal to a cargo carrier or trailer, whatever we might have behind our vehicle. To do that it's going to use a converter box. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Subaru Legacy- Video
Today on our 2013 Subaru Legacy Sedan, we're going to be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 56091. Now, when you're ready to use your 4-flat, simply raise up the cover here and pull the 4-flat out. Stretch it down towards our hitch. You want to make sure that we stay away from the center latch area as this could damage the wire. When we close the trunk, it will push in on the weather stripping. Now when you're done using your 4-flat, you simply raise the rear hatch, raise the interior cover. You can either store it down close to the spare tire or in this tray right here. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Subaru Legacy- Video
Today on our 2011 Subaru Legacy, well be installing the Tow Ready T1 Connector, part number 118511. First, well start by opening up the rear cargo door and removing the spare tire cover. Well go ahead and set that aside for reinstallation later. Next, well remove the three fasteners to secure the rear threshold. Once we removed these three pushpin fasteners, we can simply pull up on the rear threshold and pop it from its secured location. Well set this aside also for reinstallation. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Subaru Legacy 56091- Video
Today on this 2011 Subaru Legacy we are going to install part number 56091 from Curt. The first thing we need to do is get into the trunk area and remove some of the interior components. We get down to the spare tire and remove the threshold as well. Alright there is 3 plastic rivets we have to remove. We just pull straight up on it, it comes right out. To remove this tie down loop, turn it, one quarter turn, there is a tab on the inside you can push down with a screwdriver and then you can work it out. more
